Ivan O Terrivel
O Terrivel entered the music world in 1994 when he set up the hip hop group Bande Podre with his brother and a friend. They established Kandonga studios in 2001, a popluar recording studio, which attracts artists from all over the country. The studio has released a compilation album of the work of its various patrons Atençao Desminagem (Watch Out! Demining).
Bande Podre has been nominated in the category of 'best underground sound' by Hip Hop Time on Radio Cidade and Ivan now runs his own studio, Kasulo, where he is currently recording his latest album.
'We all perceive the world in which we live through our senses... For me Rap is a way to deal with these feelings and perceptions. It's a way of relating the external and the internal world- thoughts/ideas lead to words, a beat is created and then the delivery...
