Iveth (real name Ivete Marlene Rosária Mafundza) is an up-and-coming Maputo-based hip hop artist. She began her career in 2001 with The Beat Crew and went solo in 2005, winning acclaim for her debut single 'Erga-te e Seja Feliz' ('Stand up and be Happy').

 

Iveth describes her music as 'positive', 'interventionist' and 'educational'. She is featured in the compilation album Mais Hip Hop no teu Ouvido (More Hip hop in your Ear) and is due to release her debut album O Convite (The Invitation) later this year.
