'Currently I am part of Power in the Voice project that belong to British council, which the objective is to discover new talent in poetry, history telling, and hip hop in Africa. In this project my position is to monitoring the students from three schools during the selection period.'

 

About Lidia

 

2007 My focal point is recording the album that I have been working in about ten years. I'm also forming a traditional female band that I will be working with for the next years in combining with my other projects.

 

2005-2006 I performed in different proposals with a variety artists and continued to work on my personal projects and performances.

 

2004-2005 This was a year of investigation, which ended with big show for beneficent in honour of HIV/AIDS positive orphans.

 

1997-2004 I began my solo career, by recording my first two songs, In the same year I won the press award; and in 2001 I won the best national female voice in the female festival. In 2003 won the best music producer with a song named MAXACA in competition. This year I also took part in movie production in the name. I also worked with the government in the international conference of African Union and CPA.

 

1995-1997 Working with different bands and producing music for movies projects, as well as for other musicians too.

 

1988-1994 I one of the best national dancers of a typical retime called Marrabenta, I took part of other cultural project together with other members of a band named Group R. M ( National Radio ). During this time I started working as dancer and backing vocalist for a band called Orquestra Marrabenta Stars of Mozambique; I had the opportunity to travel around the world performing at festivals and concerts alongside HugoMassekela, Manod'bango, Harry Bella font, Miriam Makeba, Mark Knopfler, Prince, Youssundor and other African artists.

  

1983-1987 Dancer at the national dance company, were I had my first experience with festival's and with a traditional music as well as instruments, I also travelled to a different countries such as Brazil, Angola, Swaziland, and Italy.
