Mzana Mthimkhulu
Mzana Mthimkhulu is a writer from Bulawayo.
'My passion is creative writing and working with youths in the arts. I have written about 24 short stories, 14 of which have appeared in magazines:Crossing Borders, Drum, Moto, and Prize Africa; anthologies: Short writings from Bulawayo I; 2; and 3, and national newspapers. I am currently working on a novel and a play.
Following completion of the Crossing Borders creative writing course, I have facilitated several workshops at the Intwasa Arts festivals and the Bulawayo Book Fair. For two years I wrote a fortnightly column for a Sunday paper. The column, a social commentary was popular and generated considerable debate.
I identify with the aims and thrust of the PIV project, having worked on the pilot PIV in September 2006... I believe the project has potential to discover, nurture and develop young talent in the region. This could broaden our sources of mainstream entertainment'. Mzana Mthimkhulu
