Philip Wells
Phillip Wells, better known as the 'fire poet', has performed everywhere from Downing Street and Westminster Abbey to Channings Wood Prison and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Featured on BBC Radio 4 and Newsnight, he has also written work for Channel 4 and
Harpers and Queen. More than eighty of his poems have been published in literary magazines. His collaborators have included David Bailey, and the rock bands Morcheeba and Zero 7. A published author, Philip has written books and poetry collections for children and has recently finished his first novel. He is also been the poet-in-residence at the Westminster Chelsea Hospital School for the last four years, where he works closely with mentally disabled children.
