Phillip Wells, better known as the 'fire poet', has performed everywhere from Downing Street and Westminster Abbey to Channings Wood Prison and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Featured on BBC Radio 4 and Newsnight, he has also written work for Channel 4 and Harpers and Queen. More than eighty of his poems have been published in literary magazines. His collaborators have included David Bailey, and the rock bands Morcheeba and Zero 7. A published author, Philip has written books and poetry collections for children and has recently finished his first novel. He is also been the poet-in-residence at the Westminster Chelsea Hospital School for the last four years, where he works closely with mentally disabled children.
