Xolile Twala

Xolile Twala (aka Imbongikazi) is a 22 year old poet and actress from Bulawayo. She currently works with the Ikhwezi Drama Gorup.  In the May 2006 provincial competitions, Ikhwezi scooped three prizes in three categories out of six. 

 

'I want to work hard for my country; to be the voice of the voiceless and disseminate information to citizens of my country through my artistic skills.

I think PIV is a two-way project.  It is there to empower the youths and at the same time, give power to their voices.  The project will nurture talent and as a mentor, I will gain further skills and understanding of the arts industry'. Xolile Twala

'The workshop was so educative inspiring and motivating. The workshop has been so helpful in improving my performance skills. What I liked the most was the technique of approaching schools. The workshop has directed me to the right and appropriate way of setting up workshops via the Ministry of Education. The games and exercises helped me to think faster at the same time as enjoying and learning. The workshop was so helpful I enjoyed a good time with the facilitators and other participants.'
